South Korea Issues Cyberattack Alert as Sites Shut

SEOUL, South Korea — South Korea has issued a cyberattack alert after
government websites shut down on the anniversary of the start of the
Korean War.
Officials said Tuesday they were still investigating whether hacking was
responsible. The alert warns government and the public sector to be
wary of the possibility of cyberattacks.
Multiple government websites and at least one media website were down.
The shutdown happened on the 63rd anniversary of the beginning of the Korean War.
South Korean officials say that North Korea orchestrated a cyberattack
in March that shut down tens of thousands of computers and servers at
South Korean broadcasters and banks. Seoul said in April that an initial
